Cameron Long joins Maccabi Rishon

Cameron Long (193 cm, George Mason ’11) signed with Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion (Israel-Winner League). The final stretch of the season is on the horizon and Maccabi Rishon needs help in order to finish their season strong. They currently sit in ninth in the Winner League standings with a 10-12 record and are right in the middle of Group B in the Basketball champions league.

Long will provide Maccabi Rishon with another three-point shooter who can also rack up the assists. This season, the 28-year-old American played with Steaua CSM EximBank Bucuresti (Romania-Liga Nationala) for 26 games. In league play, Long scored 12.4 ppg while shooting 35.5 percent from three. He showed his scoring abilities while also recording 5.4 apg. The move to Israel will be the first for Long. He’s played five seasons professionally including stops in Lithuania, France, Germany and Romania.
