Spanish Euroleague and ACB team Caja Laboral Vitoria is shaking things up at the shooting guard position by signing sharpshooter David Jelinek (195 cm). Jelinek is a native of the Czech Republic, but played much of the past five seasons in Spain with DKV Joventut Badalona and its second teams. This season David Jelinek started with Olin Edirne in Turkey, where he averaged 12.5 ppgs and a team-best 2.6 aspg in 15 Turkish League games. He played five Eurocup games for Badalona during the 2009-10 season. Caja Laboral will be his first Euroleague club. Over the years Jelinek has represented the Czech national team at every junior level and this past summer was a starter for the senior team in the EuroBasket 2013 qualifying games.
