Cadarian Raines added by AS Apollon Patras

Cadarian Raines (206 cm,  Virginia Tech ’14) is heading to AS Apollon Patras (Greece-A1). Adding Raines to the roster will bolster the defensive presence in the post. Raines plays with a high motor in the paint and an excellent ability to get rebounds and protect the rim. Prior to this move, the power forward played for Apollon Limassol (Cyprus-A1). There he averaged 8.4 rpg in 29 mpg. This will be his third team since graduating in 2014.

Raines played for Virginia Tech for five seasons, missing his sophomore season due to a foot injury. He made 32 starts for the Hokies, averaging 4.9 ppg and 4.0 rpg for his career. Played one season in Argentina after school, then moved to Europe to play.
