Byron Scott fired by the Cavaliers

Byron Scott
Byron Scott, the seasoned head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the National Basketball Association (NBA) has been fired by the franchise. Scott has been with the Cavaliers since 2010 and in his three years in charge of the team he recorded a less than impressive 66 wins against 166 losses. During the summer of 2012 the Cavaliers picked up Scott’s contract for the 2013-2014 season so he is still contracted for another year, the deal is thought to be worth $4 million.

The Cavaliers are sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference Central Division with a poor 24-58 record. It has been another poor campaign for the franchise and the front office has decided to make Byron Scott the fall guy. Scott is an experienced NBA head coach and has held a job for every year since the turn of the century. He has been the head coach at the New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets, and the Cavaliers.
