Bosnia and Herzegovina earn Gold at U18 EC Div B

Bosnia and Herzegovina – Czech Republic 76-64
Bosnia and Herzegovina defeat the Czech Republic 76-64 to win U18 European Championship Division B. The two teams played evenly for three quarters in the championship game with Bosnia and Herzegovina taking a narrow 19-18 advantage in the first quarter; Czech Republic evened that with a 19-18 advantage in the final stanza; and the two teams played evenly at 21 in the third. The difference in the contest was the second quarter, where the host team outscored the Czechs 20-8 in the second. Nedim Buza paced the winners with 20 points, Jusuf Nurkic added 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Adin Vrabac tallied 11. Radovan Kouril led all scorers with 25 for the Czech Republic and Auspruk Karel chipped in 11. With their impressive showing in the Division B Tournament this year, both squads will move up to Division A next season.

Bronze Medal Game
United Kingdom – Finland 73-59
The UK squad earned the right to move to Division A next season with a convincing win over the Fins in the Bronze Medal contest. Kingsley Okoroh and Rowell Graham each scored 15 points for the winners, Tyrell Isaacs added 13 and Nelson Luke contributed 12 to the winning effort. Joni Herrala accounted for 11 of the Finland total, Joonas Lehtoranta and Rajala Julius added 10 each.
