Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul (Turkey-BSL) has re-signed Blake Schilb (201 cm, Loyola-Illinois’07), keeping him on their roster for the 2016-17 season. He is a 32-year-old American player who also holds a passport from the Czech Republic. Blake has been a member of the Czech Republic national team since 2015. He joined Galatasaray at the start of the 2015-16 season and represented them in two leagues. Schilb played 23 games for them during their run in the Eurocup and averaged 12.1 ppg and 4.8 rpg. It was a successful campaign as his team bagged the 2016 Eurocup championship. He played a total of 36 games in the Turkish BSL and there he produced averages of 10.2 ppg and 3.8 rpg.
