Bilbao Baskets held a press conference on Friday to introduce their new main sponsor, new name, and new uniforms. Uxúe Bioenergía y Renovables SA has signed on and will drop EUR 900,000 into the club’s bank account for the naming rights for the remainder of the 2012-13 season and EUR 1.5 million for the next four seasons after.
Signing the agreement were Arrinda Gorka, major shareholder of the club, Predrag Savovic, President of Bilbao Basket, and Sergio Castro, President of Uxúe Bioenergía y Renovables SA.
The club will unveil their new uniforms on Saturday when they face Blusens Monbus. The trio also revealed that there will be a 3D show prior to the game to introduce the new sponsor and uniforms and the media in attendance were treated to an early showing of the event.
