Austin Hollins signs with the Giessen 46ers

Austin Hollins (195 cm, Minnesota ’14) is joining the Giessen 46ers (Germany-BBL). Hollins last played with Karhu Kauhajoki (Finland-Korisliiga). The American swingman was with the Finish team for just one season but made an immediate impact. In 47 Korisliiga appearances, Hollins manged to score 17.2 ppg while shooting 37.5 percent from three. Scoring was a big part to his games as well as working hard on the glass with 4.7 rpg. Karhu made it to the Korisliiga semifinals with the help of Hollins. The 25-year-old forward shows promise early on in his career and now heads to a tough BBL.

Hollins is joining the 46ers after a mediocre season in the BBL. The team finished ninth in the standings with a 15-17 record. Picking up Hollins will add another lengthy shooter to the front court. Expect a lot of shot attempts for the swingman next season.
