After playing for several NBA teams, Anthony Randolph (211 cm, LSU’08) is headed to Europe this 2014-15, after signing with Lokomotiv Kuban (Russia-VTB). The athletic big man began this season with the Chicago Bulls and was traded in the pre-season to the Orlando Magic. He was then released by the Magic in July and has now decided try his hand at European hoops.
In 2013-14 he was buried in the Denver Nuggets’ crowded frontcourt saw very limited usage. He appeared in 43 games and averaged 4.8 ppg and 2.8 rpg. Throughout his NBA career Randolph would display occasions of brilliance, especially at times when was able to showcase his athleticism, but those instances were few and far between and he has since been a letdown due to his inconsistency.
