Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins said he wouldn’t get vaccinated unless forced.
San Francisco requires Golden State players to be vaccinated to play home games and even participate in team practices. The NBA denied Wiggins’ request for a religious exemption.
The unvaccinated status of Wiggins could prevent him from playing in home games this season following the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s order requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all participants age 12 and older at large indoor events, shielded himself from questions for 10 minutes on Monday, refusing to clarify his stance on getting the vaccine expressly.
If he does indeed miss the home games and practices, that could cost him $ 8.9 million in potential loss of income!
