Andre Smith released by Umana Venezia

Italian Serie A team Umana Reyer Venezia has handed Andre Smith (204 cm, North Dakota State’07) his walking papers. The forward played 28 games for Venezia in the Italian league and posted averages of 17.7 ppg and 7.2 rpg.

In 2012-13 the 29-year-old Smith played for Russian club Krasnie Krilya Samara and suited up for them in three different leagues. He appeared in a dozen Eurochallenge games for them and averaged 14.0 ppg and 6.6 rpg. In 19 VTB United League games he delivered averages of 11.3 ppg and 6.5 rpg. In the Russian domestic league Andre averaged 11,5 ppg and 6.5 rpg.
