Ali Traore moving on from Estudiantes

Ali Traore (207 cm, S. Idaho St. ’05) is leaving Movistar Estudiantes (Spain-Liga Endesa). While there, the big man played in 16 games with Estudiantes where he averaged 5.6ppg and 2.9rpg in 14.3 mpg. This season marked the 12th season playing international basketball for Traore. Before playing for the Spanish team, he was a part of Limoges CSP Elite (France-Pro A where he averaged 9.7 ppg with 4.6 rpg. His play was highly recognized as he was voted to the French Pro A all-star game.

Traore played for the French national team in the 2012 Olympics in London. He appeared in five games for France, scoring 4.5 ppg and 2.7 rpg for his country. The Frenchman has played all over Europe throughout his career, which included stops in Germany, Italy, Lebanon, and Russia since 2006.
