The Jordan Basketball Federation (JBF) is hiring Greek coach, Vangelis Alexandris to lead Senior National Team for the upcoming FIBA Asia Championships, to be held in the Philippines. He has 20 years of experience as a head coach for various Greek teams, most of which were in the A1 league.

Alexandris was released by Greek club Aris Thessaloniki (A1) in October 2012. It was a preemptive move by the team, letting him go after a 0-2 start to a season, in spite of giving him a two-season contract extension just before the season began.

He coached the Greek League All-Star Game in 2011.
