Alex Tyus back to Tel Aviv

After a dismal 2016-2017, Maccabi Tel Aviv is regrouping and announced the signing of Alex Tyus (203 cm, Florida’11) for the 2018 campaign. The Israeli giant failed to win the league and slipped out of the EuroLeague during the Regular Season. American Alex Tyus is being brought into the club to after spending last season with Galatasaray Istanbul (Turkey, BSL and EuroLeague).

In Istanbul, the center played thirty EuroLeague games and secured numbers of 10.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, while he was also the second-best blocker with 1.2 per appearance.

Tyus is making his return to Maccabi Tel Aviv. He played for the club between 2013 and 2015 and won all possible trophies in a successful stint.
