Alex Ruoff (198 cm, West Virginia’09) is returning to Belgium to play in the Ethias League after a stint playing for a couple of teams in the NBA’s D-League. He has been signed by Generali Okapi Aalstar, the same team he played for in the 2011-12 season, but had to leave in November 2011 as he got injured and was done for the rest of the season. Before the unfortunate season-ending injury, Ruoff was able to play three games for Aalstar in the EuroChallenge and average 12.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg. He also managed to play nine games in the Belgian League and there averaged 9.6 ppg and 3.4 rpg.

In 2012-13 he played 24 games for the D-League’s Canton Charge and averaged 7.3 ppg and 3.5 rpg. He moved to the Iowa Energy in March 2013 where he played 11 games and averaged 11.1 ppg and 2.1 rpg.

His addition makes Aalstar stronger. They are already ranked pretty highly but this will make them a contender.
