Aleksandar Georgiev to Regatas Corrientes

Aleksandar Georgiev (203 cm) is headed to Argentina this 2015 after agreeing to a deal with Regatas Corrientes (Argentina-Liga A). Aleksandar is a Bulgarian player who has been a member of the Bulgarian national team from 2009 to 2014. He began the 2015-16 season with the Lukoil Academic Sofia (Bulgaria-NBL).

In 2014-15 Georgiev suited up for the UBC Magnofit Gussing Knights (Austria-A Bundesliga). He played a dozen games for them during their run in the EuroChallenge and averaged 11.8 ppg and 4.3 rpg. He also played 45 games in the domestic Austrian league and there he posted averages of 12.4 ppg and 4.3 rpg.
