Alade Aminu inked by Enel Brindisi

Italian SerieA team Enel Basket Brindisi has added Nigerian big man Alade Aminu (210 cm, Georgia Tech’09) to strengthen their frontcourt for the upcoming 2013-14 season. Aminu has been a member of the Nigerian National team from 2012-2013 and represented Nigeria in the recently concluded Afrobasket 2013. He played seven games in the tournament and averaged 15.3 ppg and 6.7 rpg.

Aminu played the 2012-13 season in Turkey’s TBL for Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir. In 33 games in the Turkish league Alade was able to hit averages of 11.9 ppg and 5.9 rpg. He was a particpant in both the Turkish League All-Star Game and the Slam Dunk Contest in 2013. In the EuroChallenge, Alade was able to play 17 games for Karsiyaka and average 11.1 ppg and 4.5 rpg.
