Akeem Ellis to play for Cheshire Phoenix

Akeem Ellis (198 cm, Coppin State’12) is travelling across the pond to play for the Cheshire Phoenix (United Kingdom-BBL) this 2015/16. The 25-year-old Ellis signed with the Brampton A’s from Canada’s NBL in 2014/15 after being released by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA’s D-League in November 2014. He played 30 games for the Bampton A’s and produced averages of 14.5 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Akeem helped his team reach as far as the league semifinals in 2015.

Ellis played 36 games for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in 2013/14 and was able to record averages of 6.1 ppg and 2.7 rpg.
