Adrien Moerman exits Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul

Adrien Moerman

Adrien Moerman (202 cm) is splitting ways with Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul (Turkey-BSL). This was the only team for Moerman in the 2016/2017 season and he appeared in 55 games in both the Euroleague and BSL. The French big man contributed in many different ways for the Turkish team. He was able to score with 10.8 ppg while shooting 40.3 percent from three in BSL play while also coming down with 6.1 rpg and dishing 1.8 apg. Most of his time came off the bench as he averaged 24.4 mpg in his only season with Darussafaka.

The team played well with Moerman on the roster. They finished their season in fourth place with a 23-7 record in the BSL. Their Euroleague season finished with the team in the middle of the pack. With a record of 16-14, Darussafaka ended in eighth place. In the Euroleague playoffs, the team lost in the first round to Real Madrid (Spain-Liga Endesa) in four games.

Moerman played in the BSL in the previous season with Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (Turkey-BSL). So a move to another Turkish team is not out of the question. He’s also played in his home country of France and Spain since going pro in 2008.
