ABA announces The Pennsylvania Project

PennsylvaniaIndianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced The Pennsylvania Project in association with Height Athletics of Harrisburg, PA. The Pennsylvania Project is the most aggressive single expansion of a professional sports league in history with an anticipated nineteen (19) new teams entering the league beginning in November, 2013.

“The growth of the ABA during the past several years has been phenomenal,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “We have developed the business of basketball to such an extent that not only do we provide exciting professional basketball at affordable prices, but our business model is such that it can be very profitable if executed properly. In Pastor David Stewart, Jr. and his wife, Sharonda Stewart, we believe we have found the perfect partners to develop The Pennsylvania Project to its fullest.”

Height Athletics is a full service athletics firm that was born from the New Height Christian Center. Pastor Stewart recognized the need for good, constructive team sports opportunities that would engage a community and accentuate positive activities while decreasing the negative.

“Height Athletics is committed to develop each team as a brand identity, maximizing its potential through social media, community outreach, public relations and strategic marketing programs,” stated Pastor Stewart. “We will cover all aspects so that our teams can do what they do best. Having worked with a diverse group of athletes and teams, we will focus on expanding the overall reach of our staff and athletes and make an impact in every Pennsylvania community. David Stewart, Jr. is the CEO of Height Athletics, a company recognized for sports management, team sports competitions. It’s management team has over 30 years of sports experience. Sharonda Stewart has worked in the IT community for many years and developed Destiny Designs, a quality graphic, print and copy firm. She was also ordained as a Pastor and will continue to serve at New Height Christian Center as Co-Pastor and Co-Founder. Initial teams and cities will include:
