Vlade Divac’s father dies in car crash

The parents of Serbian superstar and former NBA center Vlade Divac (212 cm) were involved in a car accident on Tuesday, January 7. His father, Milenko, succumbed to his injuries in Cacak hospital. He was 77. Vlade’s mother, Radmila, was also in the crash and was seriously injured but is in stable condition. The car hit a light post before going off the road and rolled several times.

Vlade has already made a statement via his twitter account:

“Thank you everyone for your condolences and support.”

Vlade Divac retired from the NBA in the 2005-06, while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was injured at the beginning of the season and soon after announced his retirement.
