USA Tops France To Win FIBA U17 World Cup

FIBA U17 The United States reasserted its dominance in the FIBA U17 World Cup after defeating France to capture their fifth consecutive title. Team USA stormed passed their guests 95-52 in the final. The knockout rounds saw the defending champs secure impressive blowout wins against the Philippines, Croatia, and Canada. The second-place finish was also a new milestone for France, being their best finish ever, and stamps out a bright future for their future crop of ballers.

This was Team USA, all the way. Isaiah Stewart flirted with a double-double as he dropped 15 points and nine rebounds. De’Vion Harmon complemented Stewart with a 14-point performance. The American squad smothered France with their defense and kept them in check throughout the game.

The USA squad started things off with a 12-7 lead and expanded on their advantage to end the first quarter to 23-14. France fought back and culled the lead to 25-20, but the eventual champs kicked their efforts up another notch and opened up the game in their favor for a 45-22 lead.

The game wound down with the Americans’ lead safe and secure. It culminated with some highlight reel plays with the win well in hand.
