Turkey – Restrictions lifted on foreign players

Turkey

Turkey – The Turkish Basketball Federation is opening up its rules on the number of foreign players allowed on teams in the TBL and how they are utilized. The number of foreign players allowed to be signed by a team shall be raised to eight from the previous limit of six. Previously five of the six players have to selected per game and only three foreign players are allowed on the court at the same time. All such limitations and restrictions have been lifted and teams now have free reign on how to use their foreign players.

The move will make action in the league more competitive and will open it up for a greater influx of foreign talent to participate.
