Trifon Poch takes over as coach of Mad-Croc

Trifon PochTrifon Poch has been named the new head coach of Mad-Croc Feunlabrada (Spain-ACB) according to the club’s website and will take over the bench on Sunday when they take on FC Barcelona Regal in an ACB contest. His appointment comes as Mad-Croc released Porfirio Fisac on Tuesday. Poch was most recently the head coach of Asefa Estudiantes Madrid (Spain-ACB), where he’s been since March of 2012. His coaching career began in 1985 as the skipper of the Sant Josep Badalona Junior Team and he worked his way to a head spot in Spain’s ACB when he was hired to lead Etosa Alicante in December of 2003. Poch was named the ACB Coach of the Year in 2005.
