Euroleague round 34

FC Barcelona 80-104 Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv

On a night of spectacular offense from two playoff-bound teams, Maccabi Aviv took it right at first-place FC Barcelona for a resounding 80-104 road win on Friday. Maccabi raised its record to 16-11 with its fourth straight over Barca and is now even with Anadolu Efes Istanbul in fifth place. Barca dropped to 21-7 in its final regular-season game. Scottie Wilbekin led five double-digit Maccabi scorers with 20 points. James Nunnally added 18, Roman Sorkin 13, Derrick Williams 12, and Keenan Evans 11. Barca had two double-digit scorers, Alex Abrines with 17 points and Nikola Mirotic with 13.

LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 80-81 AX Armani Exchange Milan

Playoff-bound Milan held on in a nail-bitter to beat host ASVEL 80-81 in Villeurbanne and stay in the hunt for a third-place finish. Milan took over the scoreboard in the third quarter but had to withstand a game-winning shot attempt by ASVEL to raise its record to 19-9, good for third place if Real Madrid (18-9) cannot win at home against FC Bayern Munich (13-14) on Friday. Malcolm Delaney led Milan with 24 points and Tommaso Baldasso with 13. ASVEL, who ended its season 8-20, got a career-high 28 points from David Lighty.
