Former Houston Rockets guard Steve Francis is in police custody after he turned himself in for an arrest warrant for a burglary charge earlier this year. The three-time All-Star allegedly ransacked a woman’s car in Florida and purportedly stole $7,000 worth of stuff. If convicted Steve could face up to five years in prison. Francis was out on bond after being arrested a few weeks ago in Houston for driving while under the influence.
He won the Rookie of the Year award in 1999-2000. In his 10-year NBA career Francis averaged 18.1 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 6.0 apg. The troubled player has been in a downward spiral since retiring from the NBA in 2008.
