Sergi Vidal to be out for eight weeks from Unicaja

Sergi Vidal is expected to be out for eight weeks from Unicaja, following surgery to repair a groin injury sustained in a summer conditioning workout. The surgery was performed at Hospital Nisa Aljarafe by Unicaja team orthopedist Jose Nogales and Manuel Martin, a specialist. The surgery performed was a laparoscopic procedure on the pubis and pelvic muscles, a procedure that is supposed to expedite healing and allow Vidal to get back on the court quicker. This is Vidal’s first year with Unicaja, but he’s played 190 games in the Euroleague with Tau Ceramica/Caja Laboral Baskonia and Real Madrid.
