Sebastian Telfair sentenced to prison for 3 1/2 years

Former NBA guard, Sebastian Telfair has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for possession of a loaded gun.

He was convicted of criminal possession of a weapon in April after the police found a loaded gun in his vehicle during a traffic stop on July 2017.

Telfair was selected 13th overall in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. The 34-year-old went on to play 12 years in the league. He wound up being a journeyman playing for eight teams across his career. He played three seasons for the Timberwolves and two seasons each for the Blazers and Suns.

Telfair wound up producing averages of 7.4 ppg and 2.8 apg in 564 NBA games.
