Robert Dozier inks short term deal with Sevilla

Robert Dozier

Robert Dozier (206 cm, Memphis’09) has signed a one month deal with Cajasol Sevilla (Spain-ACB). Dozier was with the Miami Heat during training camp this season but was cut before the final rosters were set. Last season he suited up Cholet Basket (France-ProA) where he averaged 9.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game over 22 games. In 2010-11 he was with PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece-A1) where he contributed 10.7ppg and 6.3rpg in 33 Greece A1 contests. He also saw court time in five Eurocup contests, averaging 10.8ppg and 5.0rpg. Dozier played for the University of Memphis (US-NCAAD1) averaging 9.3ppg over his four years (148 games) there with a career-high of 12.9ppg his senior year. In 2008 he helped lead Memphis to the NCAA Final where they were beaten by Kansas. His number of career games puts him on both the Conference USA (2nd) and NCAA (8th) leader boards. He was drafted by the Miami Heat in the 2009 NBA draft, but was never signed.
