Polish and Estonian teams leave the VTB league

Polish team Enea Zastal BC Zielona Gora and Kalev/Cramo from Estonia are leaving the VTB United League due to the war in Ukraine. VTB United League is an international professional men’s Club Basketball League founded in 2008. It includes predominantly Russian clubs and some others from neighboring countries. Since 2013, this has been the first level of Russian professional club basketball.

After 12 matches of the regular 2021/2022 season, Kalev/Cramo club was in 10th position in the championship, having three victories in 13 games.

Enea Zastal BC Zielona Gora is last in the VTB United League standings with two wins and 11 losses. However, the club sits at the top of the Polish Basketball League’s standings with 16 wins and eight losses.
