Pieno Zvaigzdes wins 2018 Baltic League Championship

Baltic League Championship Lithuanian club Pieno Zvaigzdes (Lithuania-LKL) has captured its first-ever Baltic League Championship on Thursday after defeating BK Jurmala (Latvia-LBL) in Game 2 of the Finals series, 76-68. They crushed Jurmala 98-80 in Game 1 and this second game capped off an impressive season for the club as they were dominant in the regular season with an 11-1 record.

Pieno Zvaigzdes remained in control throughout the game and took good care of the early lead they established in the first quarter. Arturs Ausejs delivered on offense for Pieno with 19 points on some efficient scoring. The guard was near-unstoppable having an easy time finding open shots during the game. Ervins Jonats led Jurmala with 15 points and six rebounds.
