Paris makes an offer to rapper Sheck Wes!

French Pro B team Paris Basketball has made an offer to American rapper Sheck Wes! His real name is Khadimou Rassoul Cheikh Fall. He is best known for his 2017 song “Mo Bamba,” which became popular in 2018.

Wes wrote on Instagram that he had entered the 2020 NBA draft, although he went undrafted. Khadimou Fall was born on September 10, 1998, in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City to parents of Senegalese descent.

Both Sheck and the Paris Basketball Team announced the news yesterday, as the team noted that they saw Sheck’s workouts on YouTube and felt like he could be of use to the franchise……(!)

This rapper has never played organized basketball on any respectable level. Although the French Pro B is the 2nd tier league in France, the standards are still very high when it comes to signing import players. Americans need to have dominated at an NCAA D1 school with double digits, or they must have dominated a league in Europe that is the same level or higher than the Pro B. Rapper Sheck Wes has done neither.

Paris Basketball signing this rapper must either be a publicity stunt or a slap in the face for all those real American basketball players who are still without a club.
