Okben Ulubay signs long-term with Efes

Okben Ulubay (200 cm, 16 yrs) has signed a seven-year deal with Anadolu Efes (Turkey-TBL). The deal with the now 16 year-old, means he’ll be under contract with Efes until he’s 23. The agreement reportedly has NBA outs once he hits 19 (NBA age minimum) and a $900,000 buyout. Okben and his twin brother Oktay have been touted as some of the best talent coming up in Europe, but have also been involved in a bit of controversy in the last few months as it was determined that they were borne in 1996 instead of 1997 as previously reported. They have been involved with the Efes junior club as well as the Turkish U16 National Team. Earlier in December it was announced that Oktay had signed a deal with Pinar Karsiyaka (Turkey-TBL).
