NCAA – The Indiana Hoosiers came to play and play hard they did in their stunning 75-72 upset victory over the Wisconsin Badgers (3). Wisconsin came into the game undefeated, 3-0 in the Big Ten and 16-0 overall. Indiana is now on a roll and have knocked down two Big Ten teams in a row.

The Hoosiers were led by the impressive performance of Yogi Ferrell, who poured in 25 points for the game while adding four assists. He started off slow, shooting 2-9 in the first half for six points, but kicked things into high gear in the second half and went on a tear, going 8-15 for 19 in the second. Yogi also knocked down two key free throws with 18 seconds left in the game.

Wisconsin was down by just one point with 40 seconds left in the game, but a cut to the basket and a lay-up by Indiana’s Stanford Robinson, which was called on Wisconsin for goaltending, 75-72. He finished the game with 13 points of his own. A missed trey by Traevon Jackson was rebounded by teammate Josh Gasser, who quickly passed it Ben Brust who let loose a rushed three with five seconds left, but came up short in the end.

All five of Wisconsin’s starters finished the game in double figures, led by Traevon Jackson’s 21 points.
