Michael Porter Jr. (back surgery) out for season

 Mizzou’s Michael Porter Jr. is out, probably for the remainder of the season as the player is set to undergo surgery to address an injury to his back. He will be sidelined for a minimum of 3-4 months, but will not likely be back to lift the University of Missouri’s hopes of making a run at the NCAA title. That’s how much impact Porter has on that team. Their outlook is now bleak and Porter may return to the court in the NBA.

His injury is a concern and his recovery will be watched closely by NBA scouts. Porter was considered as one of the top prospects in the 2018 NBA Draft. This development will likely bump him down the draft board. The question is, “how far?” That will be one of the more interesting storylines to follow next summer.
