Michael Fraser (203 cm, Oklahoma Baptist’07) will be returning to Europe. He has been added by BC Igokea Aleksandrovac from Bosnia and Herzergovina (Division 1) for the upcoming season. The Canadian is coming off a stint playing in Asia for Byblos from Lebanon’s Division A.
In 2012-13 Fraser averaged an impressive 20.1 ppg and 16.9 rpg in 34 games in the Lebanese league. Before playing in Lebanon, Michael had a brief five-game run in Mexico’s LNBP playing for the Soles de Mexicali. He was able to average a respectable double-double with 11.2 ppg and 10.4 rpg.
In 2011-12 he played for SK Dnipro Azot Dniprodzerzhynsk from Ukraine’s Superleague. There he put up averages of 14.0 ppg and 8.9 rpg. He was selected to be a participant in the Ukrainian Superleague All-Star game in 2011.
