Mark Cuban fined $100K before Stern exits

Billionaire and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been fined $100,000 by the NBA for “confronting officials on the court and directing inappropriate language toward them during his team’s 129-127 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers last week. Cuban had said several times this season that he wanted to be handed down the final fine before Commissioner David Stern’s February 1 retirement.

The loud franchise owner took to social media and posted this on his Twitter account:

Cuban later tweeted that he would donate a equal amount to charity. Ever since he purchased the Mavs in 2000 Cuban’s outbursts have cost him a total of $1.9 million in fines and matched donations to charity.
