Linton Johnson moves to Banco di Sard

Former NBA forward Linton Johnson (203 cm, Tulane’02) is moving teams within Italy’s SerieA. He will be joining Banco di Sardegna Sassari after playing three seasons for Sidigas Avellino. He joined the NBA as a member of the Chicago Bulls in the 2003-04 season, but had difficulty dealing with a variety of injuries.

In 2012-13 Johnson averaged 9.2 ppg and 7.3 rpg as he played 20 games for Sidigas Avellino. In 2011-12 he averaged 13.3 ppg and 10.1 rpg in 30 games in the Italian SerieA. His success as a solid rebounder that season merited him an invite to participate in the Italian SerieA All-Star Game in 2012.
