The Euroleague Basketball Management Control Commission (MCC) has referred Khimki Moscow Region to the Finance Panel to monitor the club’s compliance status with the Financial Stability and Fair Play Regulations (FSFPR).
The proceeding has been opened based on an alleged infringement of overdue payables under Article 32.a) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code. The regulation whose compliance is in question concerns payments to Khimki players by the club. The case arose from a complaint filed with the MCC by the EuroLeague Players Association (ELPA). The Finance Panel’s decision is expected within 30 days, once the exchange of all communications is complete.
A transitory measure has been imposed by the Finance Panel banning Khimki Moscow Region from registering new players until their decision is issued.
