Kevin Braswell released by Melbourne

Kevin BraswellKevin Braswell (188 cm, Georgetown’02) has been released by the Melbourne Tigers (Australia-NBL). In an statement given to the Melbourne Herald Sun, Tigers head coach Chris Anstey stated, “Kev has been an absoute pro this whole time but he has been playing hurt and we need someone with a few different capabilities to really help us build on what we are doing here.” Anstey continued, “There’s no hard feelings and we’re sure Kev will get another job because he has a lot to offer the league.”

In the first five games of the Australia-NBL 2012-13 season Braswell has averaged 10.0 points and 5.2 assists per game on 28.0 minutes for the Tigers. Melbourne is off to a slow start, going 1-4 and sitting in seven place (out of eight teams).
