Kalev/Cramo wins 2017 Alexela KML championship

Alexela KML ChampionshipBC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn have successfully won their ninth Alexela KML championship after a 62-91 Game 4 win over AVIS Rapla. This was an impressive title defense for Kalev/Cramo, who have held the coveted trophy above their heads, on and of, since 2005. The league championship caps off a strong 2016-17 season for the organization. Not only did they finish atop of the league standings at the end of the regular season with a 29-3 record, they also bagged the Estonian cup this 2017.

It was a solid overall team effort from Kalev/Cramo. They had three times more assists in this game than Rapla did (18-6). Their unselfish play resulted in six players scoring in double figures. They overcame a huge game from Rapla’s Domen Bratoz who poured in a game-high 22 points. Kalev/Cramo’s duo of Branko Mirkovic and Mark Tollefsen paced their teammates with 18 points apiece.
