Josep Maria Berrocal removed from Donetsk

Josep Maria Berrocal has been removed from his duties as the head coach of BC Donetsk (Ukraine-Superleague). Berrocal started the season with Lucentum Alicante (Spain-LEB Gold) and was fired by the Spainish club in October, which is when he moved to Donetsk. As he departs, the Ukrainian squad is 13-13 in their home Superleague (No. 9) and were 7-10 under his watch, in the VTB League they are 4-7 and are No. 7. They finished 2-4 while Berrocal patrolled the sidelines in VTB competition. BC Donetsk also finished out of the Last 16 in the EuroCup with a 3-3 record in Group E, one game behind Galatasaray Medical Park. The club’s average margin of loss in their three games as 5.67 points (3, 4, and 10-point losses).
