Jordan Burgason inks short-term deal with KK Zadar
Jordan Burgason (191 cm, Lipscomb’12) has signed a one-month deal with KK Zadar (Croatia-A1). Burgason played nearly four years a Lispcomb in the Atlantic Sun Conference, compiling a 10.4 point per game scoring average including 16.4ppg his senior season. Burgason only played 19 games his senior season due to being removed from his team and the University for violating an undisclosed school policy. He was suspended at the beginning of the season for five games, then when he came back he was one of the hottest shooting long-range players in the NCAA averaging 52.6% from behind the arc (71 for 135). That average was good enough to have his name listed as third best in the country in the stat category. Regarding the first suspension, he commented “I let them (his teammates) down, and I was definitely making some wrong decisions that took away from the team, and I totally regret it,” Burgason said. “It was just some selfish decisions I decided to make, and the team really took me in and showed their love for me. They were able to forgive me for the mistakes I’ve made.” His dismissal was after a second violation, prompting the team and school to dismiss him.
