Joe Dean Shaw extends with Kapfenberg

Joe Dean Shaw (199 cm, Nevada’10) is staying in Austria for one more season. He received a contract extension from ECE Bulls Kapfenberg from Austria’s A Bundesliga, keeping him with the team for the 2013-14 season. Shaw has been playing in Austria ever since he turned pro in 2010. He spent two seasons with the Oberwart Gunners (Austria-A Bundesliga) before transferring to Kapfenberg in 2012.

In the 2012-13 season he averaged 17.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg in 36 games. Kapfenberg made it into the post season and reached as far as the semifinals in 2013. In 2011-12 he averaged 18.3 ppg and 5.3 rpg for the Oberwart Gunners. He got an invite to participate in the Austrian Bundesliga All-Star Game in 2012.
