Jeff Foote heads to Lithuania and Zalgiris Kaunas

Jeff Foote signed on with Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania) as a replacement for Robertas Javtokas who will be having surgery and is expected to miss six to eight months. Foote (2.13m, College: Cornell) played his college basketball at Cornell and helped them be the first Ivy League squad to reach the NCAA Sweet 16 since 1979 (Penn). After graduating he signed a three-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv, but was put on loan to Melilla Baloncesto of the Spanish Second Division. Most recently he was called up the the New Orleans Hornets of the NBA and saw action in four games.
