Gianluca Tucci named head coach of Sidigas Avellino

Gianluca Tucci has been named the new head coach of Sidigas Avellino, replacing Giorgio Valli who was released from his duties earlier this week. Tucci will take over the club on Sunday when they take the floor of the Palasport Giacomo Del Mauro arena against Angelico Biella in an Italian SerieA contest. Tucci has been an assistant coach with the team for the last two seasons and was named interim head coach after Valli was released. The club made the position permanent today with an agreement that lasts through the end of the 2012-13 season. Tucci began his coaching career in 1993 with Avellino.
