Gary Forbes joins Athleticos de San German

Gary Forbes (201 cm, Massachusetts ’08) has signed with Atleticos de San German (Puerto Rico-BSN) and will be with the club with they start their season on March 31, 2013. He’s currently with the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (China-CBA), where he’s averaging 31.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game over 10 games, with a high game of 46 points and 17 rebounds. In 2010-11 Forbes suited up for the Denver Nuggets, playing in 63 games and averaging 5.2 points per game. At the end of the season he was waived and then was picked up for the 2011-12 season in mid-December, 2011 by the Toronto Raptors. He played 48 games with the Raptors and contributed 6.6 points per game. At the end of the season he was traded to the Houston Rockets, but was waived before the season started. Forbes was a member of the Panamanian National Team in 2007, 2009, and 2011.
