Gani Lawal added by Guanzhou Liu Sui

China’s Guangzhou Liu Sui has added Gani Lawal (205 cm, Georgia Tech’10). The Nigerian-American big man has already logged his first game for Guangzhou L. and tallied 30 points while grabbing nine rebounds.

He comes from playing in Italy’s SerieA for Acea Virtus Roma in the 2012-13 season. In 47 games for Acea Virtus RM Lawal notched averages of 13.7 ppg and 8.4 rpg. He helped them reach the Italian SerieA finals in 2013.

This is a return to China for Lawal, who had a 17-game stint with the Xinjiang Gyang Hui Flying Tigers in 2012, where he averaged 18.4 ppg and 12.3 rpg. In 2011-12 he also played for Zastral Zielona Gora (Poland-PLK) and averaged 14.7 ppg and 10.2 rpg in 13 games.
