56 teams from across Europe have tossed their names into the hat with the hopes of being the inaugural champion of the first ever FIBA Europe Cup. The second-tier competition sponsored by FIBA has replaced the EuroChallenge this season. Two conferences and 14 Groups (4 Teams each) have been formed and Round 1 of the tournament is almost complete with only two games left to be decided. The regular season is set to be played from October to December 2nd.
The two top teams and the four best third placed teams of each group will qualify to the Round of 32 stage. The two top teams of each group will qualify to the Last 16 play-offs. The Last 16 will begin on February 17th and will last until March 2nd, 2016.
