Fenerbahce Ulker Crowned 2016 Turkish BSL Champs

Fenerbahce Ulker Fenerbahce Ulker took down Anadalu Efes in Game 6 of their derby series between two Istanbul clubs in the Finals of the Turkish BSL. Their dominant 91-70 win allowed them another visit to the top of the podium of the premier Turkish league since 2014. Coach Zeljko Obradovic guided his squad almost flawlessly in this game as his team snowballed from an early 24-14 lead after the first quarter to steamroll passed their opponents.

Fenerbahce Ulker dictated the pace of the game and were in full control from start to finish. Anadolu Efes made a push in the fourth quarter, but it was too little and too late, and their hosts were able to hold on for the win. Ekpe Udoh dropped a double-double performance on Anadolu with his 13 points and 10 rebounds. It would be Luigi Datome to lead six Fenerbahce Ulker players to score in double figures with his game-high 20 points off the bench.

Only two players cracked the double digit scoring mark for Anadolu Efes. Jon Diebler posted 18 points, while Cedi Osman chipped in 14. The rest of the team left much to be desired and at times they appeared lost as they found themselves constantly on the backfoot, trying to match pace with Fenerbahce’s offense.
